If time were a luxury, I’d do all the necessary maintenance and cleaning in a house in a heartbeat. But, as it happens, I’m a working guy with a lot more priorities than cleaning house. I’m at work up to eight hours a day, add the commute time and the time I need to spend on breaks on top of that, and you’ll see that I really don’t have much time to spend as I used to have when I was younger.

Way back when I was in college, I kept a very clean living area. I was in college, living in a dorm room with a roommate and I took pride that we had the cleanest place in the whole building. As it happens, I couldn’t study if my surrounding space was dirty, so I always made sure that the room was always dirt-free. Even the bathroom was kept as clean as the rest of the room, as my roommate and I frequently cleaned it.

Things are different these days. While I now have my own place to stay in right here in Richmond, my busy career life prevents me from cleaning the place as often as I want to. That said, I still find ways, and perhaps once a month, I turn the place inside out to remove all dirt and grime.

In the home, I find that cleaning the bathroom is the most challenging of all. It’s quite unlike the bathroom in the old dorm room, which I could clean often; I could only clean this bathroom once in a month. Within this time, all sorts of dust, dirt and grime had settled inside the grout, which was unreachable with my scrub brush. It was downright frustrating.

I did what was logical; I called in professional tile and grout cleaners that were advertising around Richmond. I need a place where I can relax and kick back, and if I can’t do it (time constraints or otherwise), I would gladly pay someone else to do it. It’ll be worth every cent, so I can rest at home without a care.

The finish itself ultimately depends on your liking whether you choose the common silver or the rarely seen white styrene. Some finishes look better than others when applied to the various patterns. The more colorful the finish the more wild the patterns look so it might be a good idea, in order to maintain a modern look, to test out a finish on a few spare tiles before applying it to all of them.

Some finishes may take longer to finish depending on your likes. If you are looking for a very simple finish and you want it done by the manufacturer, it should only take one to two applications to worst-case scenario, one full day.

Even though some of the more common finishes like plain silver or copper can be very easy to apply to tin tiles, other finishes that are thicker or thinner may take additional coating to fully cover the tile. Sunflowers are a unique and wonderful plant. With the genus name of Helianthus annuus, a member of the Asteraceae family, they were cultivated by native Americans over 3000 years ago as a food source, which has been verified by carbon dating of seeds found in ancient dwellings. Little known fact is that the sunflower gets its name from the way that the head can usually follow the track of the sun itself, with the name helianthus coming from Helios (sun) and anthos (flower), hence sunflower.

With Lewis and Clark mentioning them in the journals of their travels through the plains and other areas, its little wonder that today these versatile plants are used for everything from decoration to cooking oil production, from snacks too ..well, you name it.

Presently, sunflower production is big business in Argentina having vast numbers of acres, followed by Russia and the United States. The US, Dakota, Texas, and Kansas have miles of sunflower farms, their bright yellow petals silently worshiping the sun. You can watch for miles as you drive past the plains. The production of sunflowers is United States second largest agricultural produce, after soy beans, and is valued for its oil.

Sunflowers can only be reproduced through pollination but farmers and gardening enthusiasts are concerned about the decline in the bee population. Without the bees, there would be no pollination, and without pollination, there would be sunflowers.

The seeds of the sunflower have unbeatable nutritional value. It contains phytochemicals and contains a number of vitamins and minerals that the body needs. Scientific research confirmed that sunflower seeds are good for cardiovascular health and can lower cholesterol levels in the human body.

The sunflower can grow to a height of fifteen feet and this gives sunflower farmers reason to rejoice. With the help of modern farming technology, farmers can reap a thousand pounds of sunflower seeds per acre in a single crop. Still there is more to the sunflower; it is an awesome decoration and can serve as an inspiration, proof is Van Goghs famous sunflower painting. Is this not enough reason for loving the sunflower on its merits alone?

As many of us who are no longer engaged in a farming community, or live in areas that allow for growing flowers such as the sunflower, it’s just impractical to even consider having the ‘real thing’ all the time.

The rising cost of transport cost and harvesting of sunflowers makes it impractical to have sunflowers at any time of the year. To be practical, one can only delight in an occasional gift of sunflowers. But this is not what happens.

At present, with the advent of newer manufacturing processes and smart technical design tools, you can still have your sunflowers, one of the natures oldest but prettiest creations, but this time you have to live with imitation sunflowers. You can have your favorite sunflower all year round. The quality materials used in the reproduction of the real thing are so authentic; you will not be able to resist having artificial sunflowers around you. Whats more, it is so difficult to guess you are dealing with an imitation.
