There is nothing quite as frustrating as forgetting an appointment or finding yourself out on the go and needing to access your personal documents. It can be enough to make you want to pull your hair out.
The Palm, or PDA, was an evolution in the making. It started out as a basic device about the size of a calculator and had the most basic of functions. Later models added the feature of being able to see one line of text, yet have since evolved into personal hand held assistants that can email, browse the internet, organize your daily events and files and even play multimedia games.
The Palm has come a long way since its humble beginnings. This device started out as a calculator sized computer that had very limited and basic functions. Later models added the ability to see one line of text, this limited functionality is fortunately history.
The first generation of Palm’s PDA was referred to as Palm Pilot, their latest product line is called Palm Centro and is the new generation called Smartphones.

Palm’s pocket computers handhelds has support to run Palm OS as well as Windows Mobile and with the latest hardware and operating systems like Window Mobile version 6, they are now actually Smartphones and not PDA’s any more.
The combination of a PDA and a cell phone is called Smartphone, many companies are choosing this “new PDA” over the old, modern operating Systems like Windows Mobile 6 with support for voice communications over the mobile phone network is increasing in popularity. Many companies even changed their selling tactics with the advent of this new gadget.
Even if you already have a cell phone, the PDA can still be used for its scheduling capabilities; however, once you have fully mastered the PDA, you’ll never want to go back to a paper planner again.
