Just about 31 per cent of respondents found online shopping sites through word of mouth. Not surprisingly, as many as 55% of visitors to e-commerce sites have adopted internet as a shopping option. 25 per cent of regular online shoppers are in the 18-25 age group, while 46 per cent are 26-35, and 18 per cent were in the 35-45 age group. The respondents felt online shopping saves time, is open 24 hours and 7 days a week, is easy to use, and has better quality of products. They also like home delivery service, according to the study. Around 60 per cent of respondents felt the variety of products offered was important. |
