The Stars Of Poker
The use of pocket cam on televised poker broadcasts has had a huge impact on the game. Television coverage exploded, and poker pros became celebrities. Let’s see who some of these poker stars are.
One of the most well like stars of today is Daniel “kid poker” Negreanu. He combines his good natured, talkative demeanor, with a razor sharp analytic mind at the tables. His ability to call out exactly the two cards his opponents hold is staggering.
Barry Greenstein is the “robin hood of poker”. He donates 100% of his tournament winnings to charity. He has two WSOP bracelets to his name.
Made famous for his outrageous verbiage at the tables, Mike “the mouth” Matusow is great for televised poker. His outrageous behavior, and intense passion creates drama for the viewers. He has two WSOP titles in his resume.
Lots of pros, when pressed for an answer to whom is the best poker player, name Phil Ivey. He has won five bracelets already, and seems destined to win many more. His only weakness in tournaments is that he sometimes plays in cash games at the same time, getting very little sleep.
Doyle “dolly” Brunson has been there from the beginning. His book, Super System, is considered a bible for poker. He has won the world championship twice to go with ten total bracelets to his name.
Johnny Chan almost won Three WSOP Main Events in a row. His two Main Event titles and 10 total bracelets is an incredible feat. His role in the film Rounders, just added to the legend he had quickly become.
Another WSOP Main Event winner is Scotty “win” Nguyen. He won the 1998 title. On the final hand he warned his opponent, “you call this, and it’s all over baby”, of course, the call was made and the rest is history.
Phil “the poker brat” is known more for his famous tantrums than his incredible WSOP record. He has won a record eleven bracelets and one world championship. His outrageous outbursts have been caught on tape, and are legendary.
Stu “kid” Unger is possibly the best major tournament player of all time. He won three WSOP world championships. Even more incredible, he won ten of the thirty tournaments with a $5,000 buy in or more. No one else has come close to something like this.
This is just a sample of the characters that are becoming well known due to their increase in the popularity of poker. Even the late Stu Unger grows in stature as people learn the history of the game. Now, there seems to be no limit to how much poker can grow.

The Different Types Of Laser Eye Surgery - What To Expect!
Laser eye surgery is a relatively new procedure, but one which is quickly becoming very popular. The purpose of this procedure is to improve one?s vision and to reduce their dependency on glasses or contact lenses.

Although a lot of people have heard of this surgery not everybody knows that there are several different kinds of procedures possible, we’ll cover some of them here.

Different types of laser eye surgery
One of the most basic and commonly recommended types of laser eye surgery is known as radial keratotomy, in which the surgeon will cut spoke-like incisions into the eye, in order to flatten its surface.

In essence what takes place in this procedure is the following: a very thin flap is fabricated on the eyes surface, then a very tightly focused laser is shone into the eye, your surgeon will then control the number of laser pulses and the size of each one and by doing so will be able to control exactly how much of your cornea is removed.
How much cornea is actually removed from the eye will depend on each patient’s case.
Like with any medical procedure there are of course some risks involved, the most common tend to be under correction and overcorrection.
Just to be clear, yes under correction and overcorrection mean what they suggest, that either not enough or too much tissue was removed from the eye.
With Lasik laser eye surgery wrinkling can be an issue as well.
This can occur when the corneal flap has a small fold or wrinkle in it when it is replaced. Sadly this is often not noticed until it is too late. So if you are not satisfied with it afterwords you will have to have another procedure for the surgeon to attempt to fix it.
It’s important to remember that although these complications can occur for the most part they do not and people who undergo laser eye surgery generally come out with far better eyesight. Consult your doctor to see whether or not laser eye surgery is right for you and do more laser eye surgery research on the different options available to you.
