Inexpensive Promotional Products

by Kay Petronelli

Many businesses want to use promotional products to help them advertise their business. However, one of the main problems is finding something that can fit the small budget that a company may have. If you look hard enough there are several different types of promotional products that are very affordable. If you use these then you will be able to get word out about your business if you hand them out at major events.

One great way to promote your business is by putting your logo or company name on simple office supplies. Even some of the largest companies in the world still use pens as promotional items because they are so effective. In addition they are rather cheap. Every person likes to have an extra pen around in case they need it so you can be guaranteed that it will get used and your name will be thought of often. They can cost less than $.50 a piece and will last a very long time.

Even more cost effective than a pen is a business card magnet. A magnet that is less than four inches by two inches come in a multitude of colors and can be used on your refrigerator to hold any type of paper or business card.

Another popular promotional item you can purchase is a key chain. They are great ideas for those companies with a low budget and they come in so many shapes and sizes. You can design one that is unique or you can use existing styles like bottle openers or flashlights and have your logo imprinted on them. Again, they are low budget items that cost anywhere from .50 cents to $3.00 depending on the design and style.

Some companies have even chosen to advertise using plastic promotional products. Again, they are not only inexpensive but the product is something that anyone might use on a daily basis. An example would be plastic toys or water bottles.

If you are considering promoting your business by getting promotional materials you should make sure that you have a set budget. Having a budget will help you determine the product that you can afford and the number that you can purchase.

Your creativity will come in handy when using promotional materials. Many companies use the standard golf balls for a golf tournament but what about the other people who are just watching. What if your promotional item was a paper fan that they could use to keep themselves cool? It is a unique promotional item and people will be thankful they had it on that hot day. Promotional items don’t have to be expensive and can have the same result as expensive advertising.

It is very important for you to get your company’s name out there. So start adverstising today and add a dash of promotional products to the mix.

Can I Watch Live Sports On PC?

by Jed Elaine

In its early years, television relied on sports to grow. TV manufacturers broadcast sports programs to boost viewer ship so that they could sell more sets. Things have changed and today, we make additional payment over subscription fees in order to watch sports on TV. We should not. Satellite and cable companies have the habit of imposing pay-per-view on popular sports events, be it boxing, football, tennis or other sports. Computer makers should pull the same trick like TV before and telecast those sports programs free so there’s win-win once again. We can then write off those cable and satellite TV providers.

Actually, something to that effect has already long been done. It’s Free To Air Internet TV, where satellite TV is streamed directly to our computers over the internet. FTA internet TV is not brought forth by the computer manufacturers though and operates on the aged-old basis of advertisement and sponsorship support and subsidy. Most of these broadcasters, if not all, have their own targeted agenda. Whatever that may be, we get our sports free in return for watching their bundle, similarly an aged-old and fair deal.

There’s another type of internet TV providers. They charge a fee for their service although the majority of what they stream is FTA sourced. Their value-add is in assembling ready-made internet TV which would otherwise be time-consuming and onerous for the individual viewers to go it themselves. Thousands of channels from all over the world comprising across the board genres and not just sports are standard features. While a fee is involved, it’s one-time for a lifetime.

Another thing about sports on computer is its mobility. With WiFi internet zones getting commonplace nowadays, you can watch that big game live in trains, coffee houses, restaurants or wherever while on travel, at work or whatever you’re engaged in.

Although the world is flat now as coined by author-journalist Thomas Friedman, time zones will never be. Game time at playing venue may be office, school or bedtime for the viewer so the computer, especially if it’s a laptop, will go more handily to where the conventional TV set would find too bothersome or conspicuous to.

Manage Your PPC - Then And Now

by Kirt Christensen

In times past there was no trouble getting an upper position in those highly searched, general keywords like ‘china’, ‘business’, ‘running’ and ‘headache’ for a nickel a click. When you did a search on Google for one of those terms, you would get only 1 or 2 results, indicating to you that you could bid a minimum price for your clicks.

But advertisers had a very hard time getting a generic term like “running” to stick, especially in the early days before phrase- and exact-match options were available. A person who typed in a keyword like “business” could have any of a thousand completely different ideas in mind for what he was looking for, so he was not only unlikely to click on your ad, but even if he did click on it, he was that much less likely to buy anything from you.

Now the rules have changed in the world of PPC management. There’s no longer a minimum CTR, so maintaining a certain number of clicks isn’t an issue. And advertisers are much smarter now than they were even two years ago and are turning these generic terms into profitable information marketing opportunities.

So there’s now value in bidding on generic, nonspecific, high-traffic keywords. But how do you make them work?

Here is the answer:

Run trials, test copy ideas, and try again, writing ads until one works. This can take a long time, and you may fail a number of times before you find a winning formula. But you’ll win by attrition, if you can keep testing and testing until something works.

Make full use of negative keywords.

In your ads have phrases that are disqualifying to those you don’t want to click. By offering ‘Free Golf Instructions’ with your ads you will most likely attract undesirable traffic, but if you advertise ‘$49 Golf Video” most of your clicks will be folks serious about making a purchase.

Market information, not just products. Send people to a landing page that collects opt-ins, and offer a free guide, a tutorial, or an e-mail course of some kind, which will establish you as an information source, create longer-term customers, and grow your visitor value to where even the most generic clicks are worth getting.

Managing PPCs - The New Rules

Literally every keyword in your list is a market of its own.

Every keyword represents a mindset that people have when they type it.

Behind each of the words your clients type in while searching is a desire, necessity, inquiry, or premise they have, but may not be aware that they have.

The markets for your keywords will vary in size large, small and in between.

Some keyword markets are more competitive than others.

Some keyword markets produce more dividends for the winners than others.

An excess of competition for some keywords will cause the bid price to rise unnaturally above actual market value.

In contrast some keywords are left out even though using them would bring you to a stronger market with better responses, and they can be found using a reliable keyword tool.

When you mirror the language playing in your customers head, that is when he is going to buy from you.
