Profitable Management Of An Adwords Campaign After The Launch

by Brian Basch

Give yourself a pat on the back! Everything seems set to go; choosing keywords, bidding, market analysis and even placing your ad in a favorable position. On top of this you have been able to take advantage of Google’s tutorials and keyword research tools, to get your campaign off to a flying start. In fact it seems like you may not have to bother with it for the next 6 months. So what’s next?

Do not think you are finished because your work has just begun. Tracking your ads is your number one priority. When you do this you will be able to gage the actual productivity of each ad and ensure maximum performance.

The first one is by tracking every detail of your ad. There is a great tracking system on Adwords itself. Just looking at your campaign will tell you which keyword is bringing in traffic and you can also set up the system to track sales conversions, if you have your own product or service. You can co-ordinate this with your website tools to track leads and sales.

It is critical to do this as an Adword campaign that is not working can cost you money. A failing campaign will stop you from focusing on the ads that are working, will produce useless leads, and be a complete waste of money. It is always good to keep in mind that you will be paying for your ad even if it is unproductive.

When you have an ad that is no good, you need to think what can be done to improve it. True you may have a good position in the first 5-10 pages but you still need to make improvements with the keywords. In order to get more views to your ads it is sometimes a temptation to choose popular keywords. This is because you might think that a popular keyword will draw traffic due to supply and demand.

The problem with popular keywords is that they are not targeted. Searchers will start with these words but go onto more targeted ones. This attracts shoppers not browsers to your website. The best keywords are those that attract traffic but also draw your niche market.

You will have to strike a happy medium between general keywords that draw the crowds and keywords that are more specialized and will bring in the sales.

The bottom line is that if you want a successful Adwords campaign you need to watch your campaign like a hawk. Remember the success of your business will depend on the efficiency of your advertising campaign.

How To Run An Internet Marketing Blog

by Christopher Stigson

This is Chris Stigson speaking. I’m a blogger who has spent many, many hours figuring out “blogging”. I’ve partially cracked the code and I’m literally sharing some of the basic secrets here with you. I’m doing a test as well as giving some knowledge for you today. Please read on, you’ll benefit.

It’s a common thing to hear about success stories on profitable blogs these days.. Some generate amounts of up to $100,000/month and beyond. Profitable they are. You as a blog owner probably need to do a few things differently in order to get the most out of your internet marketing techniques and take a few steps to increase search engine rankings, make more money and have it run on autopilot.

If you want a traffic pulling blog you need more than just search engine rankings. See, there are tons of free traffic that can come from RSS syndication, bookmarking, social bookmarking and more. It’s SO, SO easy when you DO it. If you use tools like RSS submit your site can spread like wildfire across the net, and fast. You also want to “deep link” your blog posts. This means having more “page rank” and incoming links being passed to multiple PAGES on your SITE.

If you are in the middle of starting an internet marketin related blog which sole purpose is to write about internet marketing you probably want to “sub-niche it”. This means you choose a specific topic within “internet marketing”. This can be affiliate marketing, article marketing, eBay marketing, Traffic generation and more.

Finding your niche within the niche is the key to success. When you have found your “internet marketing niche” it’s not hard to start finding products, keywords and articles to finally make money. Targeting “make money online”, “how to make money” or “marketing” isn’t your best bet here… Go to keyword research tools, spend some time and figure out what keywords you can use to rank #1 more easily.

If we were to use “traffic generation” as an example of a sub-niche, then after keyword research we’d most likely find a keyword such as “increase search engine traffic”. Search it, do some “link:http://www.yourcompetition.com” in Yahoo to find how many backlinks these sites have between search results 10 and 20. We have found a viable sub-niche-long-tail-keyword. Hurray!

Now when you have a topic and a keyword it’s time to create a domain name that has similar or an exact name of the keyword. So “www.increase-search-engine-traffic.com” would be ideal for “increase search engine traffic”. You can go as far as doing “www.increasesearchenginetraffic.com”, but I like the dashes. For search engine rankings, I personally haven’t seen it matter.

Now you write relevant content about “increase search engine traffic” in your blog. Simple? Yes, but you also need about 10-20 keywords more to start writing articles just like this one. When you have done that, post them on various article directories online and see traffic, rankings and profits pouring in!
