Using Systems in MLM

Most of us have been through the excitement of starting up a MLM business. The extra income can really make a difference in your life. Once you get down to the nitty gritty details of actually building the business, you realize you still have some important decisions to make.

At the very core of MLM is duplication. Ten people using the same successful marketing tactics are much more powerful than one alone. It is also very beneficial if you can develop or become a part of a system to sell your MLM company’s primary product. Doing this leads to more money quicker since most MLM’s pay on the volume of sales. It can also bring in very dedicated distributors since they were first a customer and now become passionate about the product.

Let’s look at the math in regard to product sales vs. distributor recruiting. Distributor #1 has a system and teaches his people to sell about $500 a month of product. He has 40 people in his downline duplicating his system. Distributor #2 teaches his people to recruit and they only purchase the monthly minimum to earn commissions which is $100. He has 120 people in his downline. Distributor #1 made more money even though he had far less distributors in his business! If you can find a good product sales system, use it because they are rare.

What you want to find starting out in the MLM business is a duplicatable system anyone can use. This may take the form of lead capture pages, autoresponders and the messages preloaded in them, and of course, a reliable source of good leads. Hopefully you can get all these “tools” from your upline, since company created material is not the best available.

Using a system to promote your MLM business is not all that new. Most of the larger companies and uplines have these available. How you use the system is what will make YOU stand apart from the crowd of the 1000’s of moneymaking offers available.

I am aware of one MLMer who makes over $1,000,000 a year by addind a personal touch to his email recruiting. He also mails the prospect a postcard and leaves messages on their answering machines to look for more information in the next email. He signs up a much higher percentage of people he prospects, and he teaches his downline to use the same tactics. No wonder he makes so much money!

If your downline can duplicate you, not only using the Internet but also snail mail and the telephone answering service tactic, you can’t help but be successful.

It is cold and impersonal to use a duplicatable system. Adding your own personal touch will nullify all your competition.

Since most people are ONLY using the Internet these days, why not consider standing out from the crowd yourself. Also use postcards and the telephone answering machine method. Teach your downline to do what you do, and you will see your downline grow tremendously.

One classic way of doing that is to tell your clients why their life is so miserable with all that body pain and why they need you. Something simple like, “Is that muscle pain keeping you away from work and family? We’ll help drive the pain away,” might do the trick.

- As a marketing tool, your business card should also move a client to immediate action. One way to do that is to give a bold FREE offer on your card that they can’t resist. You can offer a free service, a free online newsletter subscription or free oils or other items. Make sure you tell them that the offer is limited and not forever so that they’ll scramble in line.

- Add a touch of personality into your card. You can put a lovely photo of yourself or a handwritten signature just to let people know that you are a real person and not just the name of a clinic. Some people respond better when they see evidence of personality and character.

- There is now an open debate on whether it matters if you have full colored glossy cards or a simple black and white one. A glossy well colored card would definitely tell people that you have a lot of class but others argue that a simple card can be redeemed by how well the card giver communicates. Just make sure though that you at least use good quality card paper and something more than just laser printer ink.

If you have ever given any thought to how to maximize the free traffic coming to your website by using search engine optimization techniques, I have a question for you. Have you ever paused to question just why it is that certain websites can position themselves so that they achieve the outstanding search engine results that they do?

That is, imagine that you are searching for a product related to diabetes. So, you punch in ‘diabetes’ to the Google search box, and see that there are nearly 76 million results shown at the top of the page.

However, the simple fact is that there are only 10 results, out of all those millions shown on the page in front of you. Now, if you imagine that your travel site was to be one of the top 10 results, then it is very easy to see how many thousands of new visitors this could send to your own site.

Even having your website appear on the second page of Google’s results would still generate lots of visitors for you, as evidence shows that people who are genuinely searching for quality information will often look at least as far as the second page.

Unfortunately, even these relatively dedicated searchers will probably stop there, and so, if your or site or blog is rated somewhere lower down the top hundred, then you are likely to see very, very few free visitors coming from the search engine results.

To take this one stage further, imagine that it was not only the first page of Google that your site appeared on. If you could achieve similar results on all the other major search engines like Yahoo and MSN, then it would be more almost totally impossible not to enjoy significant cash flows coming into business, simply because of the numbers of site viewers who would be driven to your web space every day.

When you are positioned this favorably by the search engines, you will make money every single day, almost on autopilot, without having to spend one cent on advertising.

No matter what your business, this situation is the dream of anybody trying to sell products or services online.

It is, however, not an impossible dream! The great news is that it doesn’t take a great deal of money, or any special knowledge or skills to achieve these sorts of results.

You should, however, be wary of wasting your cash on marketing products that promise to bring you instant success by firing your site to the top of Google and Yahoo’s search results in only a couple of days. Please do not be tempted to waste your money in this way.

But, as crazy as it may sound, this is exactly what many online marketers will do, and the biggest problem with many of these products is that many of the ideas that they teach are in breach of the search engines own ‘Terms of Service’. What this means is your site is quite likely to get banned in double quick time, rather than enjoying the exceptional results that you had hoped to achieve.

You should take the time to learn and apply proper search engine optimization techniques, because by doing so. It is relatively easy to generate a very handsome flow of free visitors to your site. Furthermore, because you have done this in the proper way, there is no risk whatsoever that your site will be punished for underhand or dubious tactics.

In other words, by doing the job right, whilst there are no guarantees that you will always stay on the first results page, you should nevertheless enjoy a constantly increasing flow of visitors.

Going back a few years, search engine optimization was really the only way of sending new visitors to your site without having to pay advertising fees in order to do so.

Whilst this is no longer necessarily true, as other traffic generation techniques are now equally as important as SEO, nevertheless, every website should be optimized for the search engines. And, given that it takes no more than an hour or two to make sure that your website is fully optimized, it would be very shortsighted not to do everything you can.

There is no mystery or magic about generating free traffic from search engine optimization. It is a simple step-by-step process, but one that needs to be done correctly from the beginning if you seriously want to see your website on the first page at Google or Yahoo.
